Reason of creation:
Arika is my most favorite character all time and our personalities are almost alike. I also like the style of the series; the designs of the buildings are from the ’30’s, the clothing of the royal family has a touch from the east and the Robes of the Otome are futuristic. Weird combination but it seems to work. I fell in love with the designs of the robes and because I like Arika I had to make this Meister Robe!
I used the patterns of a bodysuite and a swimming suite and modyfied them.
The whole costume is made from lycra and the details are from faux leather.
The armor parts are made from craftfoam.
I didn’t need a wig, I could use my own hair for this cosplay.
I used standard pumps and covered them with lycra.
Conclusion about this creation:
Was my first time working with lycra so I learned a lot from it. I discovered I like to make sci-fi costumes a lot so I will make more in the future. This was also my first time I participated in a costume contest and it was a lot of fun being backstage and talking with the other cosplayers participating.
Pictures by Aztek-TV and I don’t know who took the others.
